Folding bikes

It has finally happened. We have been planning for it for years, and all our friends knew it would happen soon enough and it has recently. No, not the adoption of our baby boy, but instead the avalanche of things which came with him.

One of the best things about my job is that I can ride my bike. For the past few years, I have the bus ticket (and hopefully a little bit of the Earth) saved, ride my mountain bike to work. But my mountain bike is very large. New York are very small. So, now with the new little guy and all its equipment: the stroller, the cribs, the toys, something had to go. I took my big mountain bike to work and it was one of my students (it was the bike, not the student old and not very expensive!) and have a folding bike.

My life has changed. Yes, the new father has me Yes, what but changed this new bike. Wow. I feel it out and dashing across the city of every morning so cool exciting. I feel like a super hero. And does it whip and dash!

Last year a perfect storm were right now here in New York City for bicycles. Gas prices shot up to crazy levels, the buzz about global warming began to really some traction, and we had a u-Bahn and bus strike. Bikes were suddenly everywhere. And as I said above, our apartments are small, tiny things it would be only one second before bikes suit followed. You were everywhere, this cute, easily clownish gizmos careening to taxis and the paths along the Hudson.

Folding bikes have been around for years, but were a very aggressive ecologists or the English badges. Here in America mainly Foldies brought stowed in camper or sailing boats. But your time has come. There are a number of high quality, easy to fold bicycles with wide price points. (Anywhere from $300.00 to $1,400). Today's high energy lifestyles have waited for this sweet machines.
A folding bike would allow to train to save people who commute by that annoying next leg of their journey and to get a little exercise. You bike to the train station, wrinkles you the thing up and get on the train. To develop and bike there from the train station. No need to lock it away from your Office to just take it in.

Its could business travellers or to explore your new city, get some exercise and do not have to haul a large bulky bike around. A folding bike can be easy as baggage checked regular piece.
Camper and sailors have known long foldy joy of one. Any place where space and size is a concern, is the place for a folding bike.

A folding bike may not be exact as a full size bike ride. The wheels are small so up means hills push a little harder. The balance takes a little getting used to and. But after a little practice, feel very comfortable, even nimble and light you. Some very large people might be a custom made ($ $$) though. The higher end models come very close to replicate the ride and the performance of a full size bike. Some wrinkles you smaller and faster than others. Some have only three courses, some are fully equipped with bells, lights and racks. The world of folding bikes is wide enough, that bike novices or hard core driver both find what you need.
